Jose Blanco is a Mexican visual artist based in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, he captures the vivid landscapes, native plants, wildlife, and cultural rhythms of the Baja desert and coastline. His work blends elements of Post-Impressionism and modern pop color theory, drawing inspiration from artists like Van Gogh and Matisse, while staying rooted in the textures and traditions of northern Mexico.
Blanco's vibrant paintings explore the interplay between nature and memory, often featuring cardón cacti, desert foxes, agave plants, and coastal cliffs, rendered with expressive brushwork and bold palettes. He seeks to celebrate the resilience and beauty of desert life while reflecting the emotional richness of his environment.
His art appeals to collectors who value regional storytelling, natural beauty, and authentic color narratives from Latin America. Jose’s work has gained visibility both locally and internationally through platforms like Instagram and Saatchi Art.
