Peter Matthews was born in Zimbabwe in 1955 and moved to South Africa to study Graphic Design. He became a South African citizen and went on to build a succesful advertising agency, Matthews & Charter, Ogilvy. Rated one of the most creative agencies in South Africa by the Financial Mail. Peter Sold his shares in the agency in 2000 to focus on his passion - Art. Peter creates original and compelling works of art and is inspired by the beauty of the human form, human emotion and the human spirit. His preferred mediums are oil, charcoal and pencil. He is also a documentary and feature film director.
