Lori O'Neill

Pembrokeshire is in her blood. Born and raised in the county, Lori's interest in our rich surroundings began with early trips to the coast when her father would go sea diving. Along with her mum and siblings she would spend hours on the beach waiting for him to surface during which time they would explore the rock pools, climb the cliffs and enjoy the tranquillity or just to sit and watch the waves, to see how quickly things could change, be it weather or the incomming tide. The animal life that lived on our shores, the jetsome and floatsome that just appeared. It was during this time we learnt to look at rock formations - thank you Uncle Rod, Geologist, who got us into looking Very closely at the different textures and anomalies in the ciffs and rocks.
Many images have stayed with her ever since, as her dad always had a camera in his hand, he'd explain how different film speeds, filters and darkroom tecniques can affect a picture.
Born in to a family of artists - as children we were always encouraged by Mum and Dad. Lynn a Fine Artist and Rocky an Illustrator, she felt her water colours were never up to their standard, her mum Maureen was a big fan of her photos and would constantly to tell her to pursue photogra...
