Gunnar Becker

Born in 1971 in Munich
- A meticulous painter to be appointed to create paintings with a conceptual claim.
As far as the choice of the artistic medium is concerned, the very oldest of all the arts - painting - is an opportunity for exploration in order to question the world of digital floods of images.
The hollow appearance and a newly composed envelope of the motifs, in which the human appears as a kind of set piece, represent my artistic concept. This painting with object character can also be seen as an aesthetic equivalent of our superficial, fast-paced world - especially in the virtual-media area.
