Ataya Artisia works at the intersection of biomorphic and geometric abstraction, creating visual worlds that oscillate between the cellular, the cosmic, and the imagined. Since relocating to Bali in 2018, her practice has unfolded as a search for origins: the primal structures of life, the rhythms of growth, and the unseen geometries that shape existence. Her paintings, rendered in acrylic with added plaster and sand, build textured surfaces where forms emerge intuitively, as if self-generating. These shapes are not scientific diagrams nor literal depictions of nature; rather, they are meditations on life's hidden architectures, evoking both microscopic organisms and vast underwater landscapes. Artisia's abstractions inhabit a threshold where order meets flux, suggesting states of transformation, interaction, and becoming. Deeply attuned to the microcosm, she explores how organic structures resonate with human perception and memory, offering a visual language that feels at once ancient and contemporary. Artisia studied at the Moscow. Art School (2007-2012) before receiving a degree as an Artist and Graphic Designer from Art College (2012-2016).
