Takeshi Yokoshima’s work explores the fluid nature of the world before it is categorized and fixed by language. He seeks to present raw, non-verbal experiences through abstract painting. His creative process operates on a dynamic interplay between control and chance. By utilizing acrylic paint, ink, and mediums on wood-mounted paper, he layers materials to allow organic textures and forms to emerge naturally. This approach shifts the weight between deliberate intent and spontaneous physical reaction, creating a visual record of constant transformation.
