Paul Carney has practised, taught and written about art and creativity for more than thirty years, having worked with leading galleries, universities, and educational institutions. He is also the author of two books about drawing - Drawing for Science and Drawing to Learn Anything.
Now, he is applying his expertise to his own full-time art practice, and so he’s excited to bring you his new artistic creations based on his love of flowers and the natural world.
Paul works almost entirely digitally which he says gives him enormous flexibility and creativity, beyond what he could attain using traditional media, though he is keen to stress that he does not create art using AI generation or computer-generated means.
"I still create my art using the skills and techniques I've honed for over 40 years, it's just that now I can input them digitally in the first instance, without having to create them by hand and then scan them in afterwards. I'm just cutting out the middle man!"
