Hi, yes our mind and thoughts are the driving force behind us and I was optimistic when I joined the Saatchi Art platform. I was also very optimistic when I started to offer my art to be purchased as well, but the truth is I'm Bipolar and unfortunately one of the side effects are big ideas and thoughts, and I've once again felt victim to my own thoughts. I thought I could make a living from my art but I'm at the brink of giving up and now believe that if I can't sell my art then theres no point in making more art its better to have new experiences make new memories so I want to buy a bicycle again and just go ride my bike as my health and Mental Health is more important to me than getting likes for my art but no sales. And just to join SArt I had to buy 75 cardboard tubes to ship my art works in so now I just want to break even on my expenses at least or rather that than putting this experience down to a loss. Life took unexpected turns, and I stepped away from photography in 2009 for a time. But in 2013, I found a renewed sense of purpose behind the lens through wildlife photography. Some of my wildlife images were published in Wildlife Photographic in 2017, and by 2019, I had launched a photo safari business guiding photographers through some of the world’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Unfortunately, the pandemic forced its closure. I returned to Norway in 2021 and eventually to fine art photography in 2023 when I picked up a new camera and discovered a deep love for abstract work. Today, I push the limits of what's possible to create with in-camera techniques, creating art that is emotional, layered, and often visually unpredictable with my 102MP Fuji GFX100S II. I don’t follow any specific photographer, and I believe my creativity is strongly shaped by living with bipolar disorder. Some of my works are fast-moving, blurred, and layered — a visual reflection of the mind's complexity and emotion. Mental health remains a core theme in my work, and I hope to raise awareness through the visual language I create. My current work is focused on limited edition fine art prints, and will be available in two sizes initially 22.4×16.5in (57x42cm) perfect for 24x20in (70x50cm) frames with a mat & 37.4x27.6in (95x70cm) prefect for 40x30 (100x75cm) frames with a mat and I aim to build a sustainable artistic practice while bringing greater attention to bipolar awareness through photography.
