Olaf Wipperfürth

The german artist, photographer and filmmaker, Olaf Wipperfürth is cutting across the disciplines of photography and painting, exploring his essential themes of: absence, the transformation of body and environment in ephemeral space and the process of memory.
His art can be found in private collections around the world from Europe, US and China and is shown in various exhibitions internationally. He has been published in book editions and leading magazines such as Vogue, Quadratur, Vanity Fair, Numéro, Rolling Stone and Interview Magazine.

After his doctorate in philosophy and art history at the universities of Düsseldorf and Paris. The “moment" - in contemporary art and philosophy (published in 1999) and complementary Art studies at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, Olaf Wipperfürth exclusively dedicated his life and passion to photography, art and film, combining his theoretical and conceptual knowledge with visual arts.

Since he established an impressive body of work in portraiture and art works over two last decades. He lives in Paris and works internationally.
