Matus Lanyi

Matus Lanyi, a painter and conceptual artist, draws from his medieval surroundings. He incongruously marries digital language with religious themes, and allows nature to intrude upon his canvas through plants and flower motifs. His complicated renderings of medieval cathedral floor plans mirror the complexity in comprehending our present. His work intrinsically exudes a deeply reflective and explorative essence, prompting an internal introspection in the viewer.
