Grégoire Soussan

EN / Grégoire Soussan is a French photographer, born in Bordeaux in 1975. Passionate about photography since his teenage years, he quickly gained recognition by capturing personalities such as John Travolta, Penélope Cruz, and Zinédine Zidane. However, it is in art that he truly found his calling, aiming to create images that go beyond simple representation.

His works are a fusion of photography and painting. In the Burn Out series, for instance, he captures fiery still lifes, reflecting on a society in crisis. Grégoire paints, sets fire to, and photographs in real-time, without resorting to digital technology or AI, resulting in authentic and profound images.

The artist also stands out with Mayan Vibration, an underwater series shot in the Mexican caves of Quintana Roo. There, he creates striking images by re-lighting the water, transforming each photo into a pictorial work of art.
