Sonia Smith

My work is an outward form of an inward search, a mix of questioning and creativity. I am interested in the extent to which my paintings can be said to map my thoughts and in the relationship between strategic thought and improvisation. I am intrigued with the combination of the conscious and unconscious and the division of same. I am increasingly questioning our use of language and thought.
