Medina’s work presents itself as a powerful visual body that, at the same time, deliberately eludes closed categories. What first emerges is a productive tension between the organic and the symbolic: forms that recall leaves, feathers, bodies, or totems are distilled until they become autonomous signs, suspended within a white space that functions more as a mental field than as a neutral background.

The insistent, meticulous line reveals a prolonged time of execution that contrasts with the visual immediacy of the compositions. There is no expressionist gesture or reliance on chance; each line seems to obey an internal, almost ritual logic. In this sense, the work enters into dialogue with elements that evoke ancestral ritual practices as well as with biomorphic abstraction and symbolic design, producing a result that is neither nostalgic nor archaeological, but rather a reactivation of the sign as a sensory and active experience.
