"My artwork conveys a personal and
intimate portrait of my interest in nature and humanity. Painted upon reflection of memories, feelings and concerns for our world, my creative process always begins by unleashing a powerful instinctive creative force, followed by consideration of the more formalized elements of an artwork's design.
The canvas becomes a place of search and discovery in which the dialogue between both actors, artwork and artist, occurs spontaneously. Always based on nature and it's strengths and vulnerabilities, or humanity and its complexities, my approach to the subject is a parallel construction and deconstruction of layers, shapes and textures.  Threads, cracks and creases become symbols for an unseen energythat I believe, connect all living things. I hope that my artworks remind their viewers to observe more closely the world around them and find beauty in unusual places.
Art, for me, should express emotional and aesthetic appeal to the viewers because the eye sees, the heart feels and the soul vibrates”.

Born in Salta, Northern Argentina, Jonsie grew up in Buenos Aires, where she studied Design for two years and pursued a degree in Social Communications, receiving her bachelor's degree from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. Inspired by artists such as Rembrandt, Turner, Klimt, Gaudi, and Kiefer, she studied art in Buenos Aires under the mentorship of Alberto Martinez-Pueyrredón and Magdalena Roccatagliata.

Jonsie later moved to New York and became a full-time student and member of the Art Students League of New York (ASL), where notable artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollock, Alexander Calder, and Mark Rothko studied. At ASL, she attended classes with renowned instructors Larry Poons, Kenneth McIndoe, and Mariano del Rosario.

Passionate about nature, people, and different cultures, Jonsie has travelled extensively and lived in various countries. She has exhibited her work in New York City, USA, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a co-partner and resident artist at Studio Back2Back in Long Island City, New York. Her artworks are part of private collections in Argentina, England, Australia, and Spain.
