Sibylle Summerer

Having lived in countries like Kenya, Curaçao, Germany, Chile, Mexico and Switzerland I settled down with my husband in Besançon, France.

I like to watch modern human beings with an ambiguous perspective of gentle irony. The result is some kind of humorous ethnological testimony in which ephemeral fashions are part of the main targets.

- 2004 One year of individual studies of painting with the well know Mexican painter Carlos Vargas Pons in Guadalajara (Mexico)

- 1990 - 1995 Studies of Communication Design at the University Institute of Technology in Würzburg (Germany) and at the Instituto "Profesional de Arte y Comunicacion ARCOS" in Santiago (Chile) completed with a degree in Communication Design

- 1989 Internship with the painter and sculptor Klaus Bönnighausen in Cologne (Germany)

- 1988 Internship in the engraving and painting workshop of the artists Juan and Justina Alcazar in Oaxaca (Mexico)
