SACI Gallery Painting

SACI’s three gallery spaces in Florence and New York City feature art and design works by SACI students, alumni, and faculty, as well as emerging and established international artists and designers. These galleries serve as focal points of contemporary art in Florence and New York. SACI’s two Florence galleries, the SACI Gallery in SACI’s Palazzo dei Cartelloni and the Jules Maidoff Gallery in the Jules Maidoff Palazzo for the Visual Arts, provide professional exhibition spaces for works in all media. From student, faculty, and alumni work to internationally-renowned artists and designers, the exhibitions featured in the galleries play a key role in Florence’s cultural world. Numerous SACI students exhibit for the first time in our Florence galleries before going on to pursue successful art and design careers. Internationally-renowned artists and designers, such as Beverly Pepper and Elio Fiorucci, have exhibited work in SACI’s Florence galleries. The SACI New York Gallery, SACI’s newest gallery located in the vibrant Chelsea Arts District of Manhattan, promotes work by SACI alumni and emerging international artists and designers by highlighting cutting edge, interdisciplinary work. Gallery exhibitions stay on view for one or two months, paired with artist talks open to the public. Openings occur during Thursday night art walk events in Chelsea.
