Jenni Tan

My life transformed when I relocated to Switzerland, immersing myself in its breathtaking landscapes and outdoor adventures, which now fuel my artistic inspiration. Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, my background in dance has profoundly shaped my journey into fine arts and textiles.

While creativity was always part of my upbringing, it was in Switzerland that I truly committed to refining my craft, expanding my artistic expression. In my practice, I favor large canvases, using acrylics and oils to convey emotion through brushwork and texture. I also integrate textiles, blending various textures and sewing techniques into my pieces.

In my latest work, I explore a fusion of abstract expression, where bold acrylics, oil pastels, and dynamic brushstrokes merge on paper or canvas. Each piece is deeply influenced by my background in dance, capturing the fluidity and rhythm of life with a contemporary, sketch-like style. Through my art, I strive to transport viewers into the depths of my emotions and the vibrant tapestry of my experiences.
