Kira Borisova

My name is Kira Borisova. I live in Cyprus, this island inspires me, gives way to my imagination, allows my spirit to travel to the ancient past and to the hidden beauties of nature.

My way in profession started in Moscow, where I studied first in an art school and then at the fine arts college named after russian sculptor Golubkina, the follower and the student of Auguste Rodin. My main teachers were Volkhonsky Sergey and Volkhonskaya Galina, brilliant artists and honorary academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts.

I started as a realist artist, acquiring a solid base in figurative painting, and human body remains still one of my themes of artistic interest. With a time I got interested in meditations and esoteric practices so that my works could let the spirits of the places talk to the spectators. Sometimes my work serve as anchors for different states of soul, allowing people navigate more easily through their emotions.
