Gal-La Uriol Jané

Uriol is an adventuress of colors and the coincidences of life, which end up formalized in objects, paintings, videos, illustrations and installations. She has exhibited in Europe, Asia and North America, especially in Barcelona, her hometown, and Berlin, where she lives with her two children. Uriol combines his artistic career with his pedagogical work. She has taught at the Art University of Barcelona, gives art workshops for young and old and currently teaches Spanish at a Berlin elementary school.

Gal-la Uriol Jané has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. She studied art and theory at the Eina design school. She came to Berlin because of an exchange with the Universität der Kunst, in Georg Baselitz's class where she stayed for two semesters. She completed the Master of Humanities at the UOC: Contemporary Art, Literature and Culture.
