I am interested in the interplay of color, focus, depth, and form when I choose a subject to paint. But it is the process of pushing the boundaries of light and depth to create an emotional response brought on by profound beauty. Sometimes it's in the smallest detail, or perhaps the darkest corner - my goal is to make art that shows emotion.
