Shane Bartlett

b. 1976. Currently based in Los Angeles.
Interdisciplinary / Researcher.

Shane explores the intersection of time (change vs memory) and identity (biography vs archives). His research manifests as video, photography, collage, assemblage, installations, and films. He is also a writer/poet, with works most recently appearing in Borderlands, The Scrivener Creative Review, Modern Haiku, and more.

I like texture. In my own work, I strive for imperfection, grittiness. Things definitely handmade, not made by a machine. I want you to want to touch the work.
