Sandra Hawkins

My paintings and photography are inspired by the beauty of nature. As an artist I use light, shapes and shadows to evoke strength, fragility, uncertainty and the dynamics of shifting states of being. I'm inspired by my travels in the Canadian and International Arctic, and by sailing and kayaking the St. Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers. Abstract and semi abstract paintings are intended as spaces for visitors to bring their own interpretations and meaning.
