His passion for photography took root in his childhood when his father gave him an old camera that no longer worked. This symbolic gesture created a deep connection between the love he has for his father and his budding love for photography. His Frensh-Moroccan heritage also enriches his perspective, influencing his aesthetic choices and the sensitivity of his compositions. The fusion of these two cultures inspires him to capture beauty in the simplicity of everyday moments, where calm, solitude, and reflection come together to tell universal stories.

Hicham's minimalist style reflects this dual heritage: it allows space to breathe, evoking both the warmth and intimacy of lived moments and the subtlety of memories. He loves layering elements, creating compositions that blend ambiguity, mystery, and gentle nostalgia. Each image is, for him, a tribute to these deep roots, to this fusion of simplicity and complexity, emotion and introspection.
