Stefan Marjanović is a contemporary visual artist from Čačak, Serbia. He is working in the mediums of painting and drawing. His artwork is inspired by the Metaphysical painting of Giorgio de Chirico and the Surrealist painting of Ljuba Popović. He is solving visual problems moving away from the real, phenomenal world, away from the mimetic approach in painting. Thus plunges into the depths of his own psyche, ie. the domain of the subconsciousness and the unconsciousness. The creation of imaginary spaces in his paintings has become the embodiment of metaphysical environments, similar to dreams or fantasy world. We perceive them in their true form, which is in the physically real world invisible and inaccessible. Those landscapes represent the plunge into his inner worlds, and in fact, they are visions of timeless topos. People who appear in those spaces are disintegrated or trying to perform some absurd actions, which are inherent to these states of mind.
Education: Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting department, Belgrade, Serbia
2008-2014, MA of Fine Arts
