Madam Natik

I am Nataliia, an artist living and working in Ukraine. My work draws inspiration from a multifaceted personal experience, reflecting the complexity of human relationships and emotional experiences.

My work explores themes of intimacy, communication, identity and implicit memory, focusing on how our memories shape our perception of the world. I believe in the power of the image as a means of communication that can evoke deep emotions and reflections in viewers.

In my practice, I use mnemonic images and found visual resources, which allows me to create multi-layered works. I play with figurative and abstract language, exploring how they can interact and complement each other. My paintings encourage the viewer to engage in dialogue, inviting them to dive into a world of memories and associations.

My goal is to create a space where the viewer can find a reflection of their own experiences, look at familiar emotions from a new perspective and explore the connections between memory and art.
