Daniela Roughsedge

I am a realist painter working mainly in oil and charcoal drawings.

I always had a passion for art - always had a drawing or a painting in progress. It wasn't clear to me then that art was what I should be doing for a living until later, after many years spent in academic research as an environmental economist.

After studying three years of figure drawing and painting at the Florence Academy of Art I have finally decided to dedicate myself entirely to art.

I was born in Transylvania, Romania, and currently live in Gothenburg, Sweden.

I am working and teaching classical drawing and painting techniques in my own atelier.

I am fortunate enough to have many of my paintings in private and public collections in countries all over the world.
