Higi Jung

HIGI JUNG weaves the story of life using textile, threads and needles by literary approach. The artist HIGI JUNG majored the creative writing in Korea said that sewing would be the same as writing. In this collection Jung focus on people connecting small pieces of life to create new paths. She was the only one artist from Asia who was selected in the 6th Rijswijk Textile Biennial in 2019. The Netherland Contemporary Art Review focused on the warm and poetic expression unique to HIGI JUNG.

HIGI JUNG is expanding its artistic horizons through collaboration with other genres.(Fashion brand, space design, performing arts, graphics, etc.) She is certainly a unique and flexible artist who is doing works combining literary thinking and visual images.

HIGI JUNG says, "Let's not lose balance on the way to find yourself."
