Beatrice Spadea is an Italian artist, born in Monza (Milan) in 1995.
Starting her academic career at the artistic High School Liceo Preziosissimo Sangue in Monza, she then completed her formation attending Painting studies in Milan, at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, graduating in 2017 with honors.
Despite choosing the faculty of painting, Beatrice immediately showed remarkable interests in sculpture. As a result, during the years of Brera, her “Fragments” project begins. The Fragments is a series of sculptures, realized in epoxy resin with fragments of different materials: from aluminium to carbon fiber, plastics, vinyl records, natural materials and even fabrics or pages of magazines. Beatrice thus creates a series of masks formed of fragments, closely related to the theme of identity, self-construction, fears and preconceptions. The project is constantly evolving.
At completion of her academic path, Beatrice started working in the studio of a well-known artist of the Milan scene. Here, she worked at the conceiving, development and realization of pencil works on paper and acquired new technique, further developing her drawing skills and widening her background in terms of expressive tools.
