Nikos Koniaris was born in Athens.
He studied painting in Athens School of Fine Arts, at Rena Papaspirou’s workshop and scenography under George Ziakas. He also attended classes as a visitor student in Madrid’s and Stouttgart’s Schools of Fine Arts. Furthermore, he attended a one-year seminar in scenography led by Maria Chaniotakis (MFA).
For seven years he worked as an assistant manager at “Empros” theater. At the same time, he was also responsible for the scenography of “Omma Studio’s” theatrical group. He has taught at the “Museum of Greek Children’s Art” and now teaches painting in workshops and “Artogether former VSA Hellas”. He worked as a painter/animator on the film “Loving Vincent” by “Breakthru Films” (Oscar nominee for best animated film 2018).
In 2019 he undertook the curation of the exhibition "Traveling Art" (25 artists with disability, 25 writers, 5 cities) by Artogether- Art of People With and Without Disability, in the Historical Archive and in four Museums of the Cultural Foundation of the Piraeus Bank Group.
Nikos Koniaris has had four personal exhibitions and has participated in several group exhibitions in Greece as well as abroad.
