My journey as an Artist starts in 2010 in Italy. At that time, I was unemployed and my circumstances were very difficult. One day, I picked up a mechanical pencil and a sketchbook I had purchased sometime before, and let my hand draw freely without thinking nor planning. The outcome was intersecting lines and curves and I saw that the whole made sense so I painted it in watercolours I had left from my Art School days. I used the watercolours as they were Tempera, cut the image and glued it on black cardboard. I kept working in this way for some time and sold some of the works to friends. After 2 years, I moved to London and had to stop painting for a while because I worked long hours in the Health and Social sector and didn't have much time nor space for painting. When I started working on my Art again I painted on canvas using Acrylics and Tempera, experimenting with shapes and colours and creating abstract works inspired by deep introspection and sharp observation as well as intellectual speculation on human nature, social and political events, animals, relationships, biology and physics. I studied for three years at the Art school in Italy, there I learned about the artists of the past and how to use the different media. My teachers were artists themselves, some of them were international artists like Carlo Lauricella and Massimo Crivello, others were local artists. Carlo Lauricella often dedicated 1:1 time to teach me the use of colour and encouraged me to experiment with the Palette.
