Gagik Arakelyan

Gago (Gagik Arakelyan Martirosyan) was born in Armenia in 1965.
He has been living in Spain since 1994.

Gago has a long array of accomplishments. His paintings have been exhibited in several countries like Spain, France, Russia and Armeniahe Artist’s Guild of Armenia. He has several paintings in private collections in Armenia, Europe, Asia and Americas.

He is a member of Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors.

His marine paintings are generally inspired by the works of Ivan Aivazovsky and William Turner.

In 1975 he entered the renowned Akop Kodjoyan School of Art in the armenian capital of Yerevan.
He graduated from Kodjoyan School of Art with honors in 1979.
He receved specialised training  in iconography in Moscow from 1983 to 1985. From 1987 to 1992 he attended the Yerevan University as a student of sociology abd philosophy.

O 1985-87: Painted 12 murals on the entrance to Baghramyan City in Armenia 1991-93: Collective exhibition in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yerevan

O 1998: Grand prize winner at the Montgat Y Rechac art competition (Spain)
O 1998-99: Painted all the murals of a newly constructed church in Tarragona, Spain
O 2000: Exhibition in Jordi Cirera Gallery in Barcelona, Spain
O 2002-04: Exhibition in Alain Daudet Gallery in Tolousse, France
O 2005: Exhibition in Grand Palais Des Champs the Elysees in Paris, France
