Maja Svirčić Zimmerli was born in Zagreb. She developed as a painter under the guidance of excellent mentors, from whom she acquired the knowledge and ability to embark on the unsafe adventure of an artistic career. So she started as a child, with her parents, the sculptor and illustrator Ruzica Peter Svircic and Zdenko Svircic to deal with the various artistic forms of expression.
Later she followed more and more with the representational representation of her vision. This included the portrait and nude study, the basis of the academic structure of the works. The discovery of the force elements in the art resulted from the work with the stone.
During the process of further career, she slowly moved away from exact study into the breadth of unpredictable experimental painting. Her intensive training, supported by her talent recognized early on, helped her to a comprehensive artistic education, including in the GBS St. Gallen - color, form and space. With a distinctive personal poetry, she managed to weave knowledge into the evolution of her style.
In addition to noteworthy solo exhibitions, she also took part in numerous group exhibitions in Switzerland. Maja Zimmerli lives and works in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
