Michael J Murphy

I was born in Birmingham on 3rd. April 1949 and now live in a small village in South Wales. I am an artist and a published author, having my first book, 'ROCKY SEVEN', a comedy fantasy, published by Starborn Books in 2003. My most recent published work is called 'FIENDISH INGENUITY' and is an illustrated look at torture throughout the ages and up to the present day. It is available through Amazon in America.

I have a B.A. hons. degree in Psychology and a P.G.C.E. certificate for teaching adults. I developed Discardism in 2006 and it has been extremely well received by the Welsh media. The painting 'Rubbish I', which uses the technique of DISCARDISM,(a term that I have invented to refer to the use of rubbish or other discarded items to produce a piece of art), was exhibited at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea, during the months of August and September 2006.
