Max Leonhard

Max Leonhard is regarded as one of the most innovative artists of the current era. His high precision approach in structuring of the painting, perspective and display of colour leads to painting that are constructed up to the last detail and with the will to perfection.
The colours are mixed out of the respectively coloured pigments and silicon, before being applied to the canvas, thus achieving the specific tone the artist desires. Patches of colour and their shadings are planned to the absolute perfection. The general composition of the painting follows highly precise sketches. There is no randomness within the painting of Max Leonhard, quite the opposite, the artist tries to eradicate all randomness according to his motto: I am the artist!

Born in Bolzano, the artist received his first artistic education at the art school of the south tyrolian artist union. To improve his skills further, he took courses with Prof. Müller in Göttingen. He has already taken part in exhibitions all around Europe and was the Austrian representative at the Art Expo in New York 1994.
