Jorge De Soto

Jorge DeSoto's artistic career has a multidisciplinary approach.
He combines his career as a Production Designer and Art Director in film and television with his career as a visual artist for more than 15 years.
"I enjoy working on projects. I don't consider myself a painter, printmaker or photographer. I work with an idea, I shape it until I know how I'm going to represent it. Sometimes I end up representing them with photographs or videos, and others with collage and painting."

In 2015 he entered the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
He is a professor of Art Direction: Locations and Decorations, in the Diploma of Executive Production of TV Series at the University of Villanueva, Madrid
He has also collaborated with the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM) being a professor of Style and Narrative.
At the European Institute of Design he has been a professor of Art Direction Analysis in the Audiovisual Art Direction Master.

-Collective exhibition of Printexbo Engravings, traveling through Europe, works made by students from different Faculties of Fine Arts.

-Collective exhibition The Art of Technique at the Casa de la Moneda Museum with works in the areas of Calcographic Engraving, Lithography and Medal.

-Collective exhibition Tours 2000, installations and videos at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid.

-Collective exhibition Engravers 98/99 at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

-Selected in the Graphic Art Contest of Young Creators, and group exhibition at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
