Claire Chaulet

Claire (1990), co-founder of Artistania e. V., grew up as a child of a German-French couple in the banlieue of Paris. Beside her artistic work, Claire studied political science at the FU Berlin, followed a further education in the field of cultural management at the FH Potsdam and is currently working on her master‘s thesis in adult education / lifelong learning at the HU Berlin.

Questions about transculturality, creative activism and empowerment can be found in her artistic work. She is interested in how to promote social participation, intercultural understanding and emancipation with the help of creative processes.

In addition to painting and sculpture, Claire is involved in the theater groups „Theater of Details“ „Drehbühne“ and „The Animalies“, where she is active both as a stage designer and actress.

Since 2012 she coordinates and organizes the most diverse projects in the association Artistania: Festivals, international cooperations, exhibitions, creative trainings…
