My art is a meditative process through which I attain an intimate touch with Mother Nature, and more importantly, the human spirit. I bring to my paintings the joyous energy I draw from my passion for the outdoors. Hiking and exploring in the mountains and forests across the western states are among the sources of inspiration for my contemporary paintings as well as the romantic, lush gardens, forests and lily ponds found in the East where I grew up. The western landscape, mountains and notably the aspen forests of Colorado where I live is a constant source of inspiration for my artworks.
