Igor Simonovic

Igor Simonović was born in Belgrade on 2August 1972.
In 1997 he graduated from Academy of Art in Novi Sad.
He began doing painting actively in 2006, and he had first exhibition in 2010.
Igor is the father of two children.
He resides and creates in Belgrade.

In 1997 he graduated from Academy of Art in Novi Sad, Department of Multimedia Directing in the class of Professor Bora Drašković.

Simonović had solo and group exhibitions in the country and group exhibitions abroad: France, Hungary, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Malta and Croatia. He regularly participates in major international events organized by Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art(MNMA) in Jagodina, beginning with 2010, such as Art Colony of Naïve and Marginal Art, then from 2011-2013 Biennial of Naïve and Marginal Art and in 2016 the First Triennial of Self-taught Visionary Art. He is the winner of Recognition for the Exhibited Works at the Fifteenth Biennial of Naïve and Marginal Art (MNMA, Jagodina 2011).
Pictorial realizations of Igor Simonović are in numerous private and public collections in both the county and abroad. Since 2010, MNMA has exhibited the works of this artist.
