Christa Gallant

I design and construct asymmetrical canvases to serve as a base for my large, irregular shaped artwork. Diverse shapes allow me to freely explore concepts without the limitations of a pre-set shape, size or boundary. Since I love texture, my paintings, besides also being bold and vibrant and colourful in nature, are also highly evocative of low-relief sculpture.

I am a self-taught painter, however, I did own my own fibre arts business for many years.

Since starting to display my work in 2011, I have been represented by several galleries in Ontario, Canada, and have sold to the USA and Internationally. I have also extensively participated in outdoor art shows and fairs.
I have also had a Solo Exhibition at the "Georgina Public Library" in 2011
