Jane Yates, born in Jersey 1981, studied at the Byam Shaw school of Art , London.
Jane has expanded her practice of the visual arts through extensive study of the unconscious and now combines both these disciplines through an arts based psychotherapeutic professional practice.
About
I am attempting to explore the ‘in between’, the ungraspable, the magic part of human existence. It is crucial for me to keep trying to strike the balance between harmony and discord within the paint works, I only stop working once the image has a life and energy of it’s own.
