Ben J Gross

London-born painter, musician and poet working in Rivesaltes, near Perpignan, French Catalonia.
He has recently completed a series of paintings based on the art of the Tarot, and treats mythological and contemporary themes with haunted libraries, vast and textured landscapes, subterranean cathedrals as decor.
Ben works ruthlessly mostly in acrylics in preparatory phase, then oils for the details, and is introducing more textured matter such as stuc, sand, cracked varnishes and collage-work.
