I create art to lose myself from the chaos of everyday life. It is an escape from routine and responsibilities, a sense of freedom in away. My work is an examination of the different lines and shapes found in nature. It is a celebration of mother nature and her beauty. Part of my process is to start by exploring our natural environment up close, often using imagery from my own backyard. Through close observation and connecting with nature I capture its vulnerability and create intricate detailed representations of the natural environment. My work is a tribute to the natural world through a distorted looking glass.
