My assemblage work follows in the tradition of indigenous cultures, the Eskimo, African and Native American where found objects are the raw materials from which their religious and ethnic icons are created.
I consider myself an archeologist sitting beside a dig at the edge of infinity, selecting and reconstructing artifacts of both past and future.
Self taught and privately tutored;
2 years in Japan in the mid 1960s, was tutored in oriental calligraphy and Sumi-e, the traditional water color painting using the calligraphy brush.
