Stefanie Raus

My name is Stefanie Raus and I'm a German artist from Achern near Baden-Baden, at the foot of the beautiful Black Forest.
I worked in the banking industry for many years. This was a nice job, but I saw my vocation more in the creative field.
It's important to me to have a beautiful and harmonious home for my family and me. In order to furnish my house with the pictures of my choice, I attended several painting courses and workshops and gradually developed myself further. At first I only painted for myself, later for others. So I was able to turn my passion into my job.
For me, painting is independence and freedom. It's what I love and what I want to do for living.
I paint abstract paintings and I like to try different techniques. My paintings are mostly minimalist, but also very often with gold.
The radiance of the color gold is considered very positive in almost all cultures and conveys warmth, optimism, wealth and spiritual energy.
For me, the best thing about being creative is being able to make other people happy with my creations. I have never felt such fulfillment in any other professional activity before and that is wonderful.
