William started out as a painter at art college, but was soon drawn into photography. He went onto study at BA Photography at Camberwell College of Art. After graduating he continued to work on his practice. Will’s work is highly informed by these early days of painting and art history lectors at university. His photos appear poised and considered, almost like a still life painting.
He is well known for his portraiture work. Colour is an integral part of William's practice. Often he finds solace in photographing objects and landscapes. The process involved in these images, inform his portraiture work.
