Nadiia Zhebrakovska

My name is Nadiia Zhebrakovska. I was born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine, a beautiful southern city by the Black Sea that has inspired many artists and writers with its unique atmosphere and cultural heritage.

In 2011, I moved with my family to the Netherlands, and I currently live in the small town of Nieuw-Vennep. This peaceful place surrounded by nature has provided me with new sources of inspiration and opportunities for creative growth.

I draw inspiration from mythology, psychology, and philosophy, as well as from fantasy literature and my love for horses. My ideas often emerge from ancient myths, while nature and the faces of people around me help me shape them into paintings. My work is a constant dialogue between imagination and reality.

I have explored various materials and techniques, but my favorite medium is colored pencils combined with watercolor and pastels. These materials allow me to create deep textures, soft transitions, and details that bring my works to life and give them a unique character.

I graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphics at the South Ukrainian Pedagogical University in 2001. Since then, I have continued to improve my skills through various courses and workshops, which have helped me develop new techniques and find fresh approaches in my art.

I participate annually in the Art Market Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam and exhibitions organized by the Podium voor Lokale Kunstenaars artist community, of which I am a member. I am also part of the Kunstkring Haarlemmermeer community, where I regularly exhibit my work, as well as the Paard Verzameld community, taking part in various cultural events.
