I was giving my first paint set when I was seven years old. I immediately loved creating. My Mother would buy me pastels,charcoals,acrylic paints,markers,etc. I spent hours in my room
exploring my imagination. I had a great time! All through out my schooling art and creativity came very easy to me. When I was a teenager in the 80's in NYC I became very fascinated with graffiti. I was so inspired by the music of the time and the burst of creativity around me. Spray paint was magical to me! I loved the different colors,different size spray caps and the immediacy of it. Every chance I got my freinds and I would head down to the subways and
tag or create pieces. It was thrilling,scary and an adrenaline rush.
Then the next day we would sit in the train station to view are colorful creations as the subways roled by.
At fifty years old I still reside in NYC. I teach Yoga and Tai Chi.I also practice Buddhism. Movement is a big part of my expression. The energy,rhythm,the inspiration I get from movement flows onto my canvas. Learning Chinese sword play has made my wrist more graceful and fluid.

I attended a Community College "Ulster County Community College. This was my first photograpgy course. All the developing and printing was still done in a wet darkroom. In the darkroom I could only develop and print black and white film. Every chance I would get I would be shooting nature,people,animals,etc. I loved taken a picture and still seeing the image in my mind, then going to develope my film and there it was,just how I remembered photographing it. While studying photography at this community colloge I entered a photo contest in the "Daily Freemen" a Kingston New York newspaper. I won first place. This validted that creativity
came from my soul. After reciving an assocites degree,I was accepted to the visual arts program at S.U.N.Y.
New Paltz. I studied painting,ceramics,sculpture,drawing,metals. This opened me up to diffrent meduims. I attended college at New Paltz for a year and a half. I would spend a lot of my free time in the art library reading about artists.
I applied and was accepted into a photograpgy school in Paris France,the schools name was Speos. I was suppose to study in Paris for one semester. I stayed there for two years. It was very inspiring being surrounded by wonderful muesems,sculptures and amazin...

I had a solo show inTribeca. Photographs I took in Florence Italy.Large Color photos on water color paper
Also in this show I exhibited color photographs of whales I photographed in Nantucket. These photos are printed on color metallic paper.
I also exhibited in a group show in Kingston New York.
