“You could say that in my works I’ am resisting impermanence. The moments I catch in paint are meant to compensate for the rush of life.”
In 1998 Eva de Visser (1971) graduated from the St Joost Art School in Breda as a painter.
After her graduation –1998– she frequented well-known masters including: Titian, Rembrandt, Velázquez and Singer Sargent.
She combines elements from the various eras of classical painting and elaborates these in 21st-century “I don’t want to repeat historical painting. I just borrow their skills to eternalize moments in the 21st century.”
