Hoiyi Joanna Wong is a young artist living and working in Beijing, China.
Hoiyi is interested in the properties and behaviors of the very building blocks of nature. There is a phrase in Chinese, which is "Everything is created by a combination of conditions
Just like particles
If they are in harmony, it creates a form
If they are separated, it has no image
Everything in the world
that is, they do not exist out of nothing, nor can they exist alone"
I think of my paintings as raising a series of questions rather than providing answers
