Andi Balogh is an award-winning Hungarian artist living in Finland. In her work she combines nordic nature with the human figure, depicting the world of the inner scapes. She focuses on themes as spiritual aspects of human existence, Self-connection, finding lost harmony and freedom, for which nature provides a guide and a cure.
As an enthusiastic hiker Andi creates her images alone during hikes by using herself as figure of images. Instead of making self-portraits, her purpose is to visualize the human without identity as part of a greater whole. Her aim is to convey the connection with nature, allegorically the connection to the inner depths beyond the phenomena.
